"The course was facilitated sensitively and was constructive in its delivery, which took place in a range of pleasing venues. The training has given me insights into systemic work which I now use to good effect as a psychotherapist. To emphasise the supportive nature of the course, I meet regularly for peer group supervision with fellow students."

Systemic Perspectives and Global Social Issues
The CSISS International Colloquium in November 2008 will use systemic thinking and systemic constellations to illuminate and explore alternative political, social and philosophical responses to some of the potentially devastating problems faced by our global community in the 21st century. We will enquire, explore and learn together, co-creating models and approaches that enable us to utilise a systemic perspective in new contexts.
The colloquium will revolve around three interweaving themes:
- The quest for survival: war, migration, concepts of identity, polarized religions & secularism.
- Presence, evocation, intention and the nature of the field.
- Contexts, contextual thinking & co-creation: the support of collective action.
Each day will begin with a talk by one of our pioneering keynote speakers Angwynn St Just, Rupert Sheldrake & Hunter Beaumont; the collaborative systemic enquiry that follows, innovated by the CSISS faculty, will be further enriched by narrative leadership expert & story-teller Geoff Mead, musicians, social clowning, ritual and, centrally, the experience and expertise of delegates.
